Ronald Edwin Parmer

(October 15, 1949 – December 20, 2021)

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Ronald Edwin Parmer, 72 of Collins, who passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021 at his residence.

Reverend West Garner and Reverend Brian Dickens will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Ora Cemetery in Collins with military rites at graveside.  Special music will be provided by Reverend Brian Dickens.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.

Pallbearers will be John Hosey, Oscar Hosey, Michael Thrash, Hunter Dyess, Shane Burke, and Jeremy Fant.  Honorary pallbearers will be Cameron Walker, Marvin Carter and Justin Carter.

Mr. Parmer was born on October 15, 1949, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Willie Edwin and Erlene Williams Parmer.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  Mr. Parmer retired from the United States Army Rangers after numerous years of service.  He was a member of The Springs Church in Collins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Edwin Parmer and Erlene Williams Parmer.

Survivors include his wife of eighteen years, Betty Jo Hosey Parmer of Collins; one daughter, Tracy Fant and her husband, Jeremy of Collins; one son, Cameron Walker of Collins; and three grandchildren, Cheyanna Walker of Collins, Duncan Minter, and Collin Fant, both of Ellisville; and a host of other family members and friends.
