(February 8, 1952 – June 20, 2020)

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at the Salem Baptist Church in Collins, Mississippi, for Ronald W. Ward, 68, of Collins, who passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2020, at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

Bro. Dennis Campbell will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at the Salem Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Walker, Jeremy Ainsworth, Jeremiah Ainsworth, Hunter Ainsworth, Blaze Ainsworth, Eli Ainsworth, Robin Riser, Cole Sanford, and Derrick Saulters. Honorary Pallbearers are his brother-in-law's, Stacy Littrell, Paul Littrell, and Mark Littrell.

Mr. Ron was a loving husband, father, pawpaw, brother, and friend. He was born February 8, 1952 in Stroud, Oklahoma. Ron was a 1970 graduate of Chandler High School in Chandler, Oklahoma and also a 1998 graduate of Jones Junior College with an Associate's Degree in Marketing Management. He was employed by Miller Transport as a tank truck driver for 17 years. He then went to work as a Certified Safety Director with Jowin Express until he retired in 2014. Mr. Ron was an avid music lover who loved playing the drums.  He will be greatly missed by all family and friends. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Louisville, Mississippi.

He was preceded in death by parents, Jack G. and Letha Munson Ward; one sister, Lora Ward Hogan.

Survivors include his loving wife of forty-four years, Billie Littrell Ward of Collins, two daughters, Misty Dawn Ward Walker and husband, Stephen of Magee and Kimberly Suzanne Ward Ainsworth and husband Jeremy of Seminary; six grandchildren, Tori Laine Sanford and husband Cole, Heather Leanne McDonald, Jeremiah Ainsworth, Beau Hunter Ainsworth, Jackson Blaze Ainsworth, Elijah Ray Ainsworth; two great-grandchildren, Zachary Lane Sanford and Jacob Creed Sanford; three brothers, James Ward of Stroud, OK, Donald Ward of Ark City, KS, and Gerald Ward of Edmond, OK; and a host of other family members and friends.
