Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Ronald" Ronnie" Warren Chapman, 66 of Laurel, who passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at his residence in Laurel, Mississippi.
Bro. Jon Neal will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Mount Olive. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Saturday, April 1, 2023 and Sunday, April 2, 2023, from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3302 Hwy 49, Collins, Mississippi.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Harvey, Dexter Singleton, Kelly Speir, Carroll Gentry, Scotty McMahan, and Peyton Gentry.
Mr. Chapman was born on July 31, 1956 in Pratt, Kansas to Bill and Dorothy Kirkley Chapman. He was a graduate of R. H. Watkins High School Class of 1974 and then attended Jones County Junior College. Mr. Chapman retired from Delco Remy in Laurel after twenty-six years of service as a Quality Operator. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Laurel. His hobbies and pastimes included race cars, NASCAR, and other automotive interests, as well as watching wrestling.
He was preceded in death by his two sons, Adam Chapman and Nathaniel Chapman; and his father, Warren Chapman.
Survivors include his daughter, Leslie Erin Chapman of Hattiesburg, MS.; former wife and mother of his children, Melinda Gentry Chapman of Mount Olive, MS.; his mother, Dorothy Kirkley Chapman of Shreveport, LA; two sisters, JoAnn Chapman Ray (Lynn) of Ashland City, TN and Barbara Chapman Robinson (Steve) of Laurel, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
