Rose Marie Hux
(March 14, 1965 – February 17, 2025)

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Rose Marie Hux, 59 of Gautier, and formerly of Collins, who passed away on February 17, 2025, in Gautier, Mississippi.

Brother Jacob Lott will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Williamsburg Methodist Church Cemetery in Collins. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3202 Highway 49, Collins, MS. 39428.

Rose was born on March 14, 1965, in Jefferson Davis County, Mississippi, to Reverend Murray Richard Hux, Jr. and Nellie Aulene Leake Hux. She was a graduate of Collins High School Class of 1983.  Rose was the former Technology Coordinator for the Covington County School System.  She was a member of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Murray Richard Hux, Jr. and Nellie Aulene Leake Hux.

Survivors include one daughter, Jaclyn Lott Standley, and her husband, Kenneth of Destin , Florida; one son, Austin Lott, and his wife, Destiny of Hattiesburg, MS.; two grandchildren, McKayla Standley and Jordan Standley; two brothers, Rick Hux, and his wife, Debbie, and Philip Hux, and his wife, Starr, all of Seminary, MS.; five sisters, Lydia Hux Cole of Collins, MS., Cheryl Hux Lunsford, and her husband, John Halford of Raymond, MS., Martha Hux Pitts, and her husband, Ray of Seminary, MS., Donna Hux Reesman, and her husband, Tom of Gainesville, Georgia, and Janice Hux Smith, and her husband, Chris of Sandhill, MS.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
