Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2020 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Roy Adam McRaney, 83 of Sumrall, who passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020 at the Asbury House in Hattiesburg.
Reverend Vern Rodgers will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2020 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Smith, Shawn Smith, Jared Smith, Roy Baase, and Ian Baase.
Mr. McRaney was born on September 4, 1937 in Jefferson Davis County, Mississippi. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Mr. McRaney retired after thirty plus years as a welder for Fontaine, Inc. He was a member of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronnie and Louise Saulters McRaney.
Survivors include his wife of forty years, Ruth Imajene Rodgers McRaney of Sumrall; one son, Don McRaney (Cindy) of Seminary; three daughters, Darlene Smith (Shawn) and Deborah Smith (Patrick), all of Seminary and Wendy Ivey of Hattiesburg; one step-son, Bob Shoemake of Ellisville; two step-daughters, Martha Shoemake of Picayune, and Glenda Shoemake of Slidell; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Harlon Dale McRaney of Bassfield; two sisters, Kay McRaney Boleware and Cheryl Wilson, both of Bassfield; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
