Russell Dale Mauldin

(December 22, 1971 – June 17, 2025)

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Smyrna Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Seminary for Russell Dale Mauldin, 53 of Seminary, who passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at his residence.

Brother Gary Bridges will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Smyrna Landmark Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary.  Special music will be provided by Mrs. Susan Deen.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive guests from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, June 20, 2025, at the Smyrna Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, Smyrna Road, Seminary, Mississippi.

Pallbearers will be Adam Mauldin, Matthew Mauldin, Zeth Mauldin, Brian Mauldin, Waylon Mauldin and Leroy Carter. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Mauldin, Levi Mauldin, Kayson Mauldin, and Riley Mauldin.

Russell was born on December 22, 1971, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to Charles Bervin Mauldin and Alice Bernice Sanderson Mauldin.  He was a graduate of Seminary High School Class of 1989 and received an Associates of Arts degree in Nursing from Jones County Junior College. Russell worked as a licensed practical nurse at Forrest General Hospital for many years until his health declined.  He was a member of the Smyrna Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.  Russell was a loving son, brother, and uncle, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Bervin Mauldin and Alice Bernice Sanderson Mauldin.

Survivors include his two brothers, and sisters-in-law, John Mauldin (Annette) and Steve Mauldin (Donna), all of Seminary, MS; three nephews, Adam Mauldin (Tanya), Brian  Mauldin (Kelly), and Matthew Mauldin (Ashley), all of Seminary, MS; one niece, Brittney Mauldin Watts (Sean) of Seminary, MS;  two uncles and aunts, Loyed Mauldin (Martha) of Bassfield, MS and Harlon Dale Sanderson (Pat) of Ephrata, Washington; and a host of great nieces and great nephews.
