Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home for Sarah Louise Sanford, 65 of Collins, who passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson.


Reverend Rudolph Sims will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Collins City Cemetery in Collins. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Nancy Sullivan. Billy M, King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Randolph Coats, Freddy Jason Coats, Charlie Coats, Don Coats, Bobby Mooney, Maynard West, Johnny Pope, and John Pope.

Mrs. Sanford was born on January 4, 1953 in Collins, Mississippi. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Sanford retired from the ADM, Inc. after twelve years of service. She was a member of the Ora Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie Randolph Sanford and Shirley Louise Mooney Sanford; and two brothers, Billy Sanford and Freddy Sanford.

Survivors include two sons, Charlie Randolph Coats, and his wife, Kim, and Freddy Jason Coats, and his wife, Rebekka, all of Laurel; five grandchildren, Emilie Coats, Jordan Coats, Madison Coats, Taylor Coats Breland, and Justin Breland; and two great-grandchildren, Eli Breland and Waylon Breland.
