Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2023, at the Smyrna Landmark Faithway Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary for Shirley Ann Johnson, 74, of Bassfield, who passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023, at her residence.
Brother Skip Holland will officiate the services with interment to follow in the Smyrna Landmark Faithway Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3302 Hwy 49, Collins, Mississippi.
Pallbearers will be Zach Aymond, Dustin Clayton, Nathan Cascio, Austin Clayton, Victor Clayton, and Christopher Gingrich.
Mrs. Shirley worked for many years in the hotel management business. She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. She was loved and will be missed by all her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Vondee Carter; brother, Kenny Claburn; and stepfather, Roscoe Carter.
Survivors include her three sons, Johnny Aymond of Hattiesburg, Jeffery Clayton of Hattiesburg, and Joseph Clayton of Bassfield; two daughters, Jacqueline Cascio (Morris) of Seminary and Jessica Gingrich (Christopher) of Sumrall; one brother, Charlie Carter (Missy) of Seminary; three sisters, Alice Mauldin of Seminary, Jeannie Griffith (Weber) of Seminary, and Patricia McCray of Seminary; six grandsons, Zachary Aymond (Shelby), Dustin Clayton, Austin Clayton, Victor Clayton, Nathan Cascio (Allison), and Rory Gingrich; four granddaughters, Laken Kelly, Nikki Craft, Alyssa Gingrich, and Brianna Tillson. Mrs. Shirley also had many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
