Shirley Ann Welch Timbes

(June 9, 1937 – August 16, 2020)

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the Seminary Baptist Church in Seminary for Shirley Ann Welch Timbes, 83 of Seminary, who passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at the Regency Hospital of Meridian.

Dr. Tim Hubbard will officiate at the services with interment in the Seminary Cemetery in Seminary.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the Seminary Baptist Church.  The church and funeral home will abide by all state mandates requiring that masks be worn and social distancing.

Mrs. Timbes was born on June 9, 1937 in Seminary, Mississippi.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.  Mrs. Timbes was a homemaker.   She was a member of the Seminary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raphael Allen "Ray" Timbes, Sr.; her parents, R.D. and Willow Ann Pickering Welch; a daughter, Deborah Marie Timbes Padgett; and a sister, Georgia Welch Thames.

Survivors include her son, Raphael A. Timbes, Jr. of Collins; one sister, Barbara Welch Cranford of Seminary; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
