A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Mount Olive for Steven Joe Elmore, 58 of Mount Olive, who passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the University Medical Center in Jackson.
Reverend Bob Phillips and Reverend Brian Malone will officiate at the services. Special music will be provided by Tiffany Aldridge. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Madison Feeny, Mason Feeny, Austen Self, Gavin Hammons, Aiden Hammons, Bladon Aman, Avery Aman, Harper Elmore, and Alania Kitchens.
Mr. Elmore was born on May 14, 1958 in Acadia, Louisiana. He was an offshore driller for Pride Offshore Drilling Company for nineteen years before his health declined. Mr. Elmore was a member of First Baptist Church of Mount Olive.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jackie Joe Elmore.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Doughtie Elmore of Mount Olive; his mother, Gayle Adams Elmore of Mount Olive; three daughters, Stephanie Elmore Hammons and her husband, Jeremy of Little Rock, Arkansas, Jennifer Elmore Feeny and her husband, Chris of Alma, Arkansas, and Ashley Grace Elmore of Hattiesburg; four sisters, Debbie Elmore Jones of Hattiesburg, Robin Elmore Sullivan of Mount Olive, Linda Elmore Sullivan of Petal, and Jodi Elmore Sullivan of Mount Olive; one brother, Travis Elmore of Mount Olive; ten grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
