Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 7, 2025 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Teddy Rea James, 90 of Seminary, who passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Brother Michael Miller will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Ellisville. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive guests from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3202 Highway 49, Collins, Mississippi.
Pallbearers will be Adam Cluff, Shawn Cluff, Asa Cluff, James Hopson, Mike Smith, Rustin Baker, Travis Wood, and Michael Roberts. Honorary pallbearer will be Rocky Cluff.
Teddy was a gradate of The University of Southern Mississippi. He served in the United States Navy. He worked as a USDA Health Inspector for 47 years at Collinswood/Sanderson Farms where he retired in 2009. He loved his wife and family, the outdoors (including cattle and catfish farming and squirrel hunting.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Smith James; three sons; Ronald Roberts Cluff, Donald Charles Cluff and Clarence Edward Cluff; his parents, John Ed James and Frances Gilbert James; and two brothers, John Gilbert James and Edward Clayton "Lit" James.
Survivors include his grandchildren, Adam Cluff (Daphne), Shawn Cluff, Asa Cluff (Jerrica), Rocky Cluff all of Seminary, seven great-grandchildren and a host of other family members. A very special mention to Jody Hudson who was his caregiver and friend over the last several years.
