Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the Union South Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary for Teresa Sanford Tyson, 72 of Collins, who passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at the Landmark of Collins.

Dr. Barry Armstrong will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Union South Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Tyson was born on September 13, 1946 in Seminary, Mississippi.  She was a loving wife, step-mother, and sister.  Mrs. Tyson was a member of the World Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy M. Tyson; her parents, Robert and Ora Ingram Sanford; one brother, Lewis Sanford, and a step son-in-law, Darren S. Shows

Survivors include her step-daughter, Tonia Tyson Shows of Seminary; a step-son, Mick Tyson, and his wife, Jamie of Hattiesburg; one sister, Vondell Sanford Guthrie of Seminary; three brothers, Curtis Sanford and Elton Sanford, both of Seminary, and Harold Sanford of Collins; five step-grandchildren, Scott Tyson (LaDona), Summer Tyson, Sunny Tyson, Payton Shows Conn (Austin), and Drew Taylor Shows (Hannah); three step great-grandchildren, Claire Tyson, Norah Tyson, and Ellie Tyson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, National Headquarters, 375 Kings Highway North, Cherry Hill, New Jersey, 08034.
