Terrell Devon Tolleson, 86, of Mount Olive, Mississippi died peacefully surrounded by his family on January 8, 2023. Born in Attala County, Mississippi, on September 20, 1936, to Cisero and Myrtis Tolleson, he was the oldest of two children.
A graveside celebration of Terrell's life will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Wednesday January 11, 2023, at Mount Olive City Cemetery, 211 Jaynesville Road, Mount Olive, Mississippi.
Doctor Bob Phillips and Reverend Austin Almaguer will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mount Olive is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Randy Almaguer, Mark Skidmore, Austin Almaguer, Scotty Trawick, Larry Tolleson and Michael Tolleson. Chase Almaguer and Ryan Almaguer will serve as honorary pallbearers.
On October 19, 1963, in Houston, Texas, Terrell married Ann Stuckey Tolleson. He spent his career as a truck driver, and he even owned his own trucking company at one time. He enjoyed various business ventures in the Mount Olive area, including Tolleson's Grocery, T-Ann-T BBQ, and T-Ann-T Trucking. Terrell was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Mount Olive. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and he will be dearly missed.
Terrell was preceded in death by his parents, Cisero Terrell and Myrtis Miller Tolleson; and his daughter, Patti Tolleson Skidmore.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Ann Stuckey Tolleson of Mount Olive; daughter, Debbie Tolleson Almaguer (Randy) of The Woodlands, Texas; brother, Joe Tolleson (Patsy) of Mount Olive; son-in-law, Mark Skidmore of Laurel, Mississippi; beloved grandchildren, Rev. Austin Almaguer (Alison), Ryan Almaguer (Kendall), Chase Almaguer (Marcela), Tara Harrell, and Leslie Shoemaker; great-grandchildren, Lydia, Tra, Molly, Fisher, Zora, Eiza, and Max; and a slew of double first cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Mount Olive at 305 Main Street, Mount Olive, Mississippi.
