Terri Breazeale Carter
(June 11, 1956 – January 17, 2025)


Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 20, 2025,  at the Smyrna Landmark Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary for Terri Breazeale Carter, 68 of Seminary, who passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025, at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.


Brother Shannon Breazeale will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Smyrna Landmark Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary.   Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.


Her pallbearers will be Walter Schreiber, Eric Lott, Kevin McDonald, Brian Lucas, Cotie Dickens, Dustin Davis, Levi Lott, and Christian Lott.


Mrs. Carter was born on June 11, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois to Hershel and Billie Rose Morris Breazeale.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.  Mrs. Carter was a homemaker by trade.  She was a member of the Smyrna Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.  Though she will be deeply missed, Terri's legacy of love and selflessness will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jefferson Carter; her parents, Hershel and Billie Rose Morris Breazeale; and three brothers, Larry  Breazeale, Lavone Breazeale and Wayne Breazeale.


Survivors include her son, Thomas "T.J." Carter of Seminary; four daughters, Dana Breazeale Carter Schreiber (Walter) of Mount Olive, Lisa Carter Lott (Eric) of Collins, Michelle Carter McDonald (Kevin) of Collins, MS and Haven Carter Lucas (Brian) of Seminary; two sisters, Debi Sibley (Ray) and Denise Ryan (Kenny), both of Springfield, LA; ten grandchildren, Cotie Dickens, Dustin Davis, Ashley Lott, Levi Lott, Christian Lott, Kiersten McDonald, Destiny McDonald, Cameron McDonald, Cameron McDonald, Kade Carter, and Miley Carter; four great-grandchildren, Eli Dickens, Benjamin Dickens, Adalynn Lott, and Noah Lott; and a host of nieces and nephews.
