Terry Benton McRaney
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date for Terry Benton McRaney, 62 of Collins, who passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at his residence. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. McRaney was born on January 4, 1956 in Washington, DC. to John Benton McRaney and Frances Catherine Powell McRaney. He was a graduate of the John Curtis Christian School Class of 1974 in River Ridge, Louisiana. Mr. McRaney attended Pearl River Community College on a Baseball Scholarship. He was the former owner of the Four Star Meat Company, Inc. and just recently retired after numerous years of service as a meat cutter. Mr. McRaney was a member of the Methodist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Benton McRaney, and one brother, Kendall Leon McRaney.
Survivors include one son, Jared Benton McRaney, and his wife, Natalie of Hattiesburg; one daughter, Amanda Catherine McRaney Blackburn, and her husband, John of Walker, Louisiana; his mother, Frances Powell McRaney of Collins; two sisters, Beth McRaney Smith, and her husband, Mike of Laurel, and Patti McRaney Leonard, and her husband, Mark of Mount Olive; a host of nieces, nephews, and his beloved dog, Gumbo.
