Obituary

Funeral services will be held at 10:00a.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the Salem Baptist Church for Thelma Gertrude Mann Craft, 87 of Collins, who passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

Reverend Dewayne Simmons will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Heather Duke Wilson and Mrs. Babette Duty. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the Salem Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Harvey, Marshal Trigg, Ben Young, Will Beasley, Trevor Stokes, Ashton Craft, and Glenn Madden. Honorary pallbearers will be her sons-in-law, Ben Beasley, Cliff Breeze, John Crosby, Tom Hall, and Kenneth Hynum.

Mrs. Craft was born on July31, 1930 in Sunflower County, Mississippi. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Mrs. Craft was a life-long resident of Collins, Mississippi, where she attended Salem School and Jones County Junior College. As a homemaker, she enjoyed cooking holiday dinners and sewing clothes for her children. Later in life she used her sewing skills to make dolls, bears, and quilts for her grandchildren. Mrs. Craft also loved her woodworking hobby, crafting numerous items that she gifted to her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo Ceeford Mann and Vergie Corine Buchanan Mann; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her children, Carolyn Craft of Purvis, Claud Larry (Buddy) Craft, and his wife, Denece of Seminary, Barbara Breeze, and her husband, Clifford of Bluford, Illinois, Vickie Crosby, and her husband, John of Seminary, Sandra Beasley, and her husband, Ben of Collins, Teresa Hynum, and her husband, Kenny of Collins, Darrell Craft, and his wife, Lawanda of Collins, Rebecca Craft of Ocean Springs, Stacey Hall, and her husband, Tom of Petal, and Leslie Craft of Wesson; fifteen grandchildren, Wesley Harvey, Ashley Panquerne, Marshal Trigg, Elizabeth Ramsey, Ben Young, Jessica Cothran, Jennifer Skrmetti, Will Beasley, Kelsey Dykeman, Kaelyn Hynum, Morgan Stokes, Trevor Stokes, Madison Hall, Sydney Hall, and Ashton Craft; twelve great-grandchildren, Derrick Harvey, Michaila Cothran, Sarah Cothran, Braden Harvey, Blaine Knight, Abby Panquerne, Asher Panquerne, Heidi Skrmetti, Tucker Trigg, Walker Trigg, Quinn Beasley, and Wren Beasley; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
