Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the Williamsburg United Methodist Church in Collins for Thomas Roger Crawford Jr., 73 of Collins, who passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at his residence.
Reverend Dan Lobin and Reverend Ken Roberts will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Williamsburg United Methodist Church Cemetery in Collins with military rites at graveside. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Jackie Worthy and Mrs. Darlene Lyons. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 05:00 pm until 08:00 pm on Friday, January 27, 2023 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3202 Hwy 49, Collins, Mississippi, and from 10:30 a.m. until service time on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the Williamsburg United Methodist Church, 17 Sunset-Williamsburg Road, Collins, Mississippi, 39428.
Pallbearers will be Lane Sanford, Jeff Kelly, Gary Cook, Steve Wise,
Joel McRaney, and Ricky Ponder.
Mr. Crawford was born on March 20, 1949 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He graduated from the Collins High School Class of 1968, and attended Jones County Junior College in Ellisville. Mr. Crawford was drafted in 1969 and proudly served his country in the Vietnam Conflict for the next four years. He retired from The W. E. Blain and Sons, Inc. after thirty-years of service in the road construction industry. After his retirement, he went to work for Dr. Ramsey Wilson as a heavy equipment operator for six years until his health declined. Mr. Crawford was a member of the Williamsburg United Methodist Church in Collins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Roger Crawford Sr., and Bonnie I. King Crawford.
Survivors include his wife of twenty-nine years, Beverly Craft Crawford of Collins; two step-sons. Carey Barrett (Carol) of Richland, and Brian Craft (Meagan) of Seminary; one brother, David Crawford (Maria) of Collins; one sister, Frances Crawford Blake (Rick) of Collins; six grandchildren; three -great grandchildren; one niece, Hope Crawford of Collins; four nephews, John Blake of Flowery Branch, GA., Bryan Blake of Collins, Jeremy Blake of Cartersville, GA., and Caleb Crawford of Collins; and a host of other family members and friends.
