Thomas Dewitt Faler

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Thomas Dewitt Faler, 85 of Collins, who passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his loving family..

Reverend Lee Faler and Reverend Blake Ellis will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Longview Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins. Special music will be provided by Kay and Don McQueen. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, October 14, 2022 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3302 Highway 49, Collins, Mississippi 39428.

Pallbearers will be Jason Bravo, Brett Anderson, Destin Rivers, Lee Faler, Hunter Faler, and Larry Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Abney, and the men of Longview Missionary Baptist Church.

Mr Faler was born on May 12, 1937 in Collins, Mississippi. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and pappa. Mr. Faler retired after forty-five plus years of service as the owner and operator of Dewitt Faler Contracting. He was a member of Longview Missionary Baptist Church in Collins. Mr. Faler loved spending time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin Leo Faler and Susie Kirkland Faler; one son. Scotty Faler; one brother, M.L. Faler; and one great grandson, Rankin Lee Faler.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-seven years, Geneva Keys Faler of Collins; one son, Mike Faler, and his wife, Becky of Collins; one daughter, Sherry Faler Turnage, and her husband, Robert of Collins; one sister, Jimmie Faler Keys of Florence; six grandchildren, Lee Faler (Jordan), Lyndsi Anderson (Brett), Lesli Bravo (Jason), Landri Rivers (Destin), Hunter Faler, and Madison Turnage; eleven great-grandchildren, Preston, Gabriel, Presleigh, Lakelynn, Patton, Hudson, Pinleigh, Houston, Kati Beck, Parkleigh, and Isaiah; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
