A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Tommy Lee Maxwell, 61 of Collins, who passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at his residence.
Brother Brent McRaney will officiate at the services. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3202 Highway 49, Collins, MS.
Mr. Maxwell was born on September 19, 1963, in Columbia, Mississippi to L.Z. and Peggy Kaufman Miller. He was a graduate of West Marion High School Class of 1981and received an Associate of Arts degree in electrical services from Jones County Junior College. Mr. Maxwell retired from the oil industry after forty plus years of service as an oil pumper. He was the owner and operator of Lee's Pumping Service, LLC. Mr. Maxwell was a member of the Willow Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, L.Z. Miller.
Survivors include his wife of thirty-two years, Cindy LaVonne Toon Maxwell of Collins; his mother, Peggy Kaufman Miller of Foxworth; three sons, Cory Lee Maxwell of Foxworth, Blake Lee Maxwell (Haley), and Mitchell Tray Tippit (Victoria), both of Collins; one daughter, Crystal Blackwell of Columbia; two sisters, Dawn Miller, and Amanda Miller, both of Foxworth; seven grandchildren, Tripp Maxwell, Wyatt Maxwell, Gunner Maxwell, Alexis Benjamin, Shane Knight, Aiden Maxwell, and Blakeleigh Tippit; one great-granddaughter, Caroline Ellington; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
