Tony David Johnson

(October 28, 1954 – January 14, 2024)

Memorial services will be held at a later date for Tony David Johnson, 69 of Collins, who passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS.

Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Tony worked for Jackson Ready Mix in Monticello for thirty-five plus years. He was a graduate of Collins High School and was a lifetime resident of Collins. His family referred to him as a very hard worker and a kind, loving person. Tony was a loving father, grandfather, brother and he loved his family very much. They will miss his kind words and everyday phone calls and he will surely be missed by all his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Lee and Willie Lee Hutchinson Johnson; three brothers, Boyce Lee Johnson, Johnny Johnson and Basil Johnson.

Survivors include his two sons, Tony Johnson of and Jesse Johnson both of Collins; one brother, Larry Johnson of Collins; three sisters, Joann Johnson Graves (Gerald) of Collins, Janice Johnson Burns of Carson and Deloris Johnson Delancey of Laurel; grandson, Luke Johnson of Sumrall; granddaughter, Brianna Johnson of Collins and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
