Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mt. Olive, Mississippi for Toxie Allen, 84 of Mount Olive, who passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the Magee General Hospital in Magee.
Bro. Steve Ellis will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Rutland Cemetery in Mount Olive. Special music will be provided by Miss. Shelby Allyn Little. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mt. Olive will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 1, 2021, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mt. Olive.
Pallbearers will be Eric Harrison, Zack Greer, Paul Little, Clyde Magee, Pete Rutland, and Tyler Sanford. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryson Crocker, Caiden Crocker, Wesley Crocker, Chandler Wagster, Leo Keyes, Danny Duckworth, Warren Blackwell, and Donnie Hughes.
Mr. Allen was born on July 30, 1936, in Mt. Olive, Mississippi. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He was a lifelong cattleman and farmer. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake Allen and Birdie Clark Allen; one son, Randy Hodge; seven sisters, Grace Gillis, Pauline Tharp, Ruby Lee Burnham, Hazel Tew, Earlean Turcotte, Hallie Pittman, and Margie Lack; four brothers, Homer Rutland, Leonard Allen, Willie Allen, and Josie Allen.
Survivors include his loving wife of sixty years, Evelyn Hall Allen of Mt. Olive; one son, William Allen and wife, Kristie, of Mt. Olive; two daughters, Gwen Allen of Mt. Olive and Dianne Hughes and husband, Donnie, of Raleigh; eight grandchildren, BJ, Jodi, Sarah, Brian, Brittany, Shelby, Tiffany and Dana twelve great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Demp Allen of Mt. Olive; and a host of nieces and nephews.
