Virginia McNease Boleware

(March 14, 1939 – May 4, 2025)

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 9, 2025 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Virginia McNease Boleware, 86 of Collins, who passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at the Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Dr. Hal Hood, Dr. Joseph Bird, Reverend Anthony O'Neal, and Reverend Shane Hoes will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Collins City Cemetery in Collins.   Special music will be provided by Mr. Jay Baggett.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive guests from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 8, 2025, and From 9:00 a.m. until service time on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3202 Highway 49, Collins, MS.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Boleware, Connor Boleware, Braden Owens Shedd, Brandon McNease, Joseph Bird, and Anthony O'Neal.

Virginia was born on March 14, 1939 in Prentiss, Mississippi to Cleveland and Alene Cole McNease.  She retired from the Covington County Hospital after forty-eight years of service as the Director of Social Services. Virginia was a member of the First Baptist Church in Collins. She was a loving mother, nana; great grand nana, and sister.  Virginia enjoyed spending time with her family and will be greatly missed by them all.

She was preceded in death by her father, Cleveland McNease; a granddaughter, Kara Grace Boleware; and one nephew, Michael Bradley Owens.

Survivors include her two sons, Mitchell Boleware (Susan) of Collins, MS and Kevin Boleware (Jennifer) of Mobile, AL; her mother, Alene Cole Mikell of Collins, MS; one sister, Jane McNease Young(Roy) of Collins, MS.; one brother, Ronnie McNease (Mona) of Prentiss, MS; two grandchildren, Connor Robert Boleware and Kyle Mitchell Boleware (Caroline); two great-grandchildren; Morgan McNease Boleware and Collins Laine Boleware; three nieces, Amy Walker, Jodi Abernathy, and Nikki Myers; two nephews, Tony Owens, and Brandon McNease; and a host of great nieces and great nephews, Braden, Whitney, Hailee, Chloe, Rayelle, Ethan, Abagail, Trey, and Hartlee.
