Obituary

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at the Main Street Baptist Church in Hattiesburg for Vivian Miller Lott, 92 of Hattiesburg, who passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019 at the Merit Health-Wesley Medical Center.

Reverend Bob Jones will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary.  Special music will be provided by Mrs. Barbara Stephenson.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at the Main Street Baptist Church in Hattiesburg.

Pallbearers will be family members and friends.

Mrs. Lott was born on December 26, 1926 in West Point, Mississippi.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  Mrs. Lott retired as a primary resource teacher after thirty-eight years of service in Education.  She taught at numerous schools throughout the Florida area during her career.  Mrs. Lott was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church in Hattiesburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Theodore Willis Lott; her parents, John Morris Miller and Bonnie Nichols Miller; three sisters, Norma Miller, Charlotte Durdin, and Sarah Howell; and two brothers, Junior Miller and Jack Miller.

Survivors include one son, Paul Willis Lott, and his wife, Joy Ellis of Seminary; three daughters, Elizabeth (Beth) denHartog and her husband, David of Cleburne, Texas, Gail Walters, and her husband, James A. "Bubba" of Purvis, and Deborah Vivian (Debbie) McBee of Kirkland, Washington; eleven grandchildren; thirty six great-grandchildren; one brother, C.M. Miller of West Point; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either  Main Street Baptist Church (Lottie Moon Missions),  11 Main Street Boulevard, Hattiesburg, MS 39402; or  Samaritan's Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607;  or Homes of Hope (Children's Home), 344 Harold Tucker Road, Purvis, MS  39475.
