Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for W. Leo Daniel Temple, 87 of Collins, who passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026, at his residence.
Brother Ken Walters and Brother Justin Corley will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the County Line Cemetery in Ellisville. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Billy M, King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3202 Highway 49, Collins, Mississippi, 39428
His pallbearers will be Shannon McQueen, Benji McQueen, Stacy Temple, Podge Temple, Dakota Temple, and Brad Cole. Honorary pallbearer will be Brandon Temple.
Mr. Temple was married to the love of his life, Alma Sue Lovett Temple, for sixty-three years. He was born on August 26, 1938, in Lufkin, Texas to William Franklin Temple and Magdalene Falks Temple. He worked making his living as a pipefitter for Local Union 714 until his retirement. Mr. Temple was considered the glue that held everybody and everything together. He always made sure the family stayed in touch with each other. He was a member of the Centerville Baptist Church in Ellisville, Mississippi. Mr. Temple proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather and he will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Franklin Temple and Magdalene Falks Temple; one daughter; Patricia Ann Temple Thrash; and three sisters; Mae Temple Bush, Hilda Temple Anton, and Sue Temple Smith.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-three years, Alma Sue Lovett Temple of Collins; four brothers; Dale Temple (Dottie), Mac Temple (Linda), Jessie Temple and Dwight Temple (Rachel); one sister; Elsie Temple Sullivan; one grandson; Brandon Temple; and one great-grandchild; Truitt Nace Temple; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
