Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2019 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Walter Luther "Luke" Butler, 52 of Collins, who passed away on Friday, December 20, 2019 at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

Reverend Ken Hickman will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Pope Family Cemetery in Collins.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2019 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.

Pallbearers will be Lee Butler, Dustin Butler, Ricky Savell, Jarrod Summerland, Stacy Pope, Shane Thornton, Darrell Baker, Joey Clark, and john Hollingsworth.

Mr. Butler was born on July 2, 1967 in McNary, Arizona.  He was a loving son, father, brother, and grandfather.  Mr. Butler was a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry until his health declined.  He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

He was preceded in death by his father, Howard A. Butler; one brother, Steve Butler; and one sister, Rhonda Laurel Butler.

Survivors include his mother, Mildred Pope Butler of Collins; two daughters, Brittany Butler of Hattiesburg, and Haley Butler of Mobile, Alabama; his former wife, and mother of his children, Sandra "Sandy" Butler of Mobile, Alabama; two brothers, Audie Lee Butler of Paradise, Texas, and Howard Loren Butler of Collins; two grandchildren, Mason Finch and Ainsleigh Savell, both of Hattiesburg; two nieces, Breanna Butler, and Jessica Butler; four nephews, Kenny Butler, Tim Butler, T.J. Butler, and Dustin Butler; and a host of other family members and friends.
