Waylon Daniel Mitchell

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Waylon Daniel Mitchell, 1 of Collins, who passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024 at the Blair B. Batson Children`s Hospital in Jackson, MS.
Reverend Lee Faler and Reverend Hal Hatten will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Willow Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3202 Hwy 49, Collins, Mississippi.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Waylon was an precious gift from God. He was his mom and dad's little warrior. Waylon was loved and cherished by his family and he will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Max Mitchell and Marie High Mitchell, Randy Culpepper and Kathy Kervin Culpepper, Charlie White, Raymond Edward King, Sr. and Patsy Ruth Pitts King, James Ellzey Thompson and Emma Jean Robertson Thompson.
Survivors include his parents, William Douglas Mitchell and Emily Ruth King Mitchell of Collins, MS;  grandfathers, Larry  Dean Mitchell of Collins and Raymond Edward King, Jr. of Ellisville;  grandmothers, Eunice Melissa White Mitchell of Woodstock, GA and Tammy Renee Thompson King of Ellisville;  great grandmothers, Kathleen Ishee Mitchell of Collins and Dianne Barton White on Benson, NC; one aunt, Caitlyn Melissa Parvin of Woodstock, GA; one uncle, Joel Edward King of Ellisville and a host of other family members.
