William Hershel "Billy" Trigg, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, January 19, 2024, at the Billy M. King Funeral Home in Collins for William Hershel Trigg, Jr., 79 of Seminary, who passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at his residence in Seminary.
Dr. Tim Hubbard will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Seminary Cemetery in Seminary. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Susan Deen. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on Friday, January 19, 2024, at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3202 US 49, Collins, MS.
Pallbearers will be family members and friends. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Martin Harvey.
Billy was a member of the Seminary High School graduating class of 1963. He joined the military in May of 1964 and honorably served his country in the Army and the Army National Guard during the Vietnam War. After his military service he worked in security for NASA at the Stennis Space Center for five years. Billy worked most of his career as a welder-boilermaker for the nuclear power plants industry. After retiring he drove a school bus for the Covington County School District for many years. Billy was a lifetime resident of Seminary and a active member of Seminary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Hershel and Francis Aupied Trigg; and one brother, John Kenny Trigg.
Survivors include his wife of thirty-two years, Earlene Graves Trigg of Seminary; two sons, Joseph Trigg (Linda) of Chicago, Illinois, and Shannon Trigg (Pam) of Atlanta, Georgia; one step-son, John Gatwood of Booneville; one step-daughter, Darlene Gatwood Logan (Kenny) of Petal; one brother, Jerry Wayne Trigg of Seminary; two sisters, Joycelyn Trigg of Mendocino, California, and Linda Trigg Napier (Sammy) of Seminary; five grandchildren, Jeremy Trigg, Tyler Trigg, Bryson Trigg, Joci Trigg, and Amber McIntyre; and a host of nieces and nephews.
