Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for William Earl "Bo" Perkins, 68 of Sumrall, who passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Brother Troy Burroughs will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Ora Cemetery in Collins. Special music will be provided by Brother Gerald Penton. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.
Pallbearers will be Michael Nance, Johnathan Bennett, Will Perkins, Zach Blomberg, Noah Blomberg, Tony Lewis, and Braxton Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Chapnick, Frank Howard, Herbert Bennett, and John Hosey.
Mr. Perkins was born on June 1, 1952 in Collins, Mississippi. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Mr. Perkins retired from the City of Houston as a Senior Inspector. He was a member of the Baptist faith. Mr. Perkins was a master mechanic and enjoyed building hot rods and Nascar.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Frank Perkins and Pearlie Ruth Hosey Perkins; two sisters, Nell Perkins Richards and Mary Perkins "Midge" Nance; an aunt, Edna Earl Hosey; and a niece, Sarah Lewis.
Survivors include his wife of forty-six years, Terri Suttle Perkins of Sumrall; one daughter, Cristy Perkins of Sumrall; one son, Matthew Perkins, and his wife, Theresa of Magnolia, Texas; six grandchildren, Zach Blomberg, Noah Blomberg, Mia Perkins, Wesley Stern. Cristyn Bjorgaard, and Colton Bjorgaard; one sister, Betty Perkins of Hattiesburg; two brothers, Billy Perkins, and his wife, Brenda of Sumrall, and Darrell Perkins, and his wife, Kelly of Seminary; a brother-in-law, Mike Nance of Georgia; a sister-in-law, Gay Lewis of Petal; and a host of nieces and nephews
