Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for William Terry Harvey, 59 of Jackson, who passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at the Merit Health River Oaks Hospital in Flowood, Mississippi.
Reverend Jim Robertson will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Victory Baptist Church Cemetery in Bassfield. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3302 Highway 49, Collins, Mississippi 39428.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Williams, Trevor Harvey, Cory Vanderford, Hunter McGraw, Leonard Daily, and Anthony McGraw.
He was born January 21, 1962, in Mississippi. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He retired as a Police Dispatcher from Jackson Police Department. He enjoyed spending time watching football and the races, traveling the country with family on vacations, helping others in need, he was an avid collector of various things, and most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Harvey and Bobbie Coulter Harvey; one grandson, Christopher McGraw; one niece, Candace "Candy" Smith; and one nephew, Cody Vanderford.
Survivors include his loving wife of sixteen years, Janet Williams Harvey of Jackson; two children, Trevor Harvey of Flowood and Cherie Brister McGraw and her husband, Anthony, of Morton; five grandchildren, Adalyn and Roman Harvey, Tyler, Hunter, and Aaron McGraw; one sister, Missy Harvey Vanderford of Flowood; one nephew, Cory Vanderford of Meridian; and a host of other family members and friends.
