William Greyson Sullivan

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Evergreen Baptist Church in Seminary, Mississippi, for William Greyson Sullivan, 81, of Seminary, who passed from this life on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at his residence.
Brother Chad Cummins will officiate the services with interment to follow in the Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Evergreen Baptist Church, 65 Evergreen Baptist Church Road, Seminary, Mississippi.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Lott, Roger White, James Earl Clark, James "Bo" Clark, III, Jim Metcalf, Ethan Rogers, and Dillon DeLancey. Honorary pallbearers will be James Michael "Mickey" Murray and Kenny Hynum.
Mr. Greyson was born on March 24, 1941, in Laurel, Mississippi, to Franklin Grey and Frances Jeanette Windham Sullivan. He was a 1959 high school graduate and later became a member of the Super Torquers Car Club. Mr. Sullivan married the former Alice Dumproff, and they built their life together in Elgin, Illinois, before moving back to Seminary in the late 1980s. Mr. Greyson spent his career as a butcher and deeply enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. A very talented arrowhead scavenger and knife maker, he often worked with his hands. He was a faithful member of Evergreen Baptist Church, and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years, Alice Dumproff Sullivan; his son, Shane Sullivan; his step-daughter, Sharon; his parents, Franklin Grey and Frances Jeanette Windham Sullivan; his sister, Frances Driver; his nephew, Gray Driver; his grandparents; and several aunts, uncles, and extended family members.
Survivors include his sons, Brian Sullivan and Frank Sullivan; his step-children, Barb, Cindy, Guy, and Troy; sister, Faye Metcalf (Jim); his brother, James Michael "Mickey" Murray (Dianna); his daughter-in-law, Melissa Walker; his grandchildren, Lexy Duncan (Tomas), Alaina DeLancey, Dillon DeLancey, Ethan Rogers; an "adopted son", Kenny Hynum; and many other nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
