William S. Taormina

(June 18, 1943 – August 12, 2021)

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 16, 2021, at Station Creek Baptist Church in Collins, Mississippi, for William S. Taormina, 78 of Seminary, who passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at the Hattiesburg Health and Rehab in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Bro. Joe Lott and Bro. Clay Williamson will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Station Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins.  Special music will be provided by Mr. Greg Sullivan and Mrs. Pam Eakes.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 16, 2021, at the Station Creek Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Timmy Loftin, Ryan Loftin, Randy Loftin, Layne Loftin, Mitchell Arinder, and Will Arinder.

Mr. Taormina was born on June 18, 1943, in Ellisville, Mississippi.  He was a loving husband, father, Pap, son, brother, and friend.  He enjoyed working and spending time with his family.  He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Flynt Taormina; father, Tony Taormina; mother, Hazel Taormina Graves; one brother, Ernie Taormina; and one sister, Toni Sue Taormina Prescott.

Survivors include two sons, Timmy Loftin and his wife, Donna, and Randy Loftin and his wife, Tammy, both of Seminary; two daughters, Karen Dyess and her husband, Jimmy, of Collins, and Lisa Arinder and her husband, Mitchell, of Columbia; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ann Taormina Parvin and her husband, Larry, and Marie Taormina McKinney both of Seminary; and a host of other family members and friends.
