Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2020 at the Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary for Willie Everett Parker Sr., 80 of Seminary, who passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020 at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Collins.
Reverend Glenn Shoemake and Reverend Chad Cummins will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
Mr. Parker was born on February 28, 1940 in Sanford, Mississippi. He was a 1960 Graduate of Seminary High School. Mr. Parker was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Fulda, Germany during 1963 until 1964. He was the owner and operator of Heavy Equipment Services. Mr. Parker was a member of the Evergreen Baptist Church in Seminary.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Hinds Parker and Florence Ingram Parker; nine siblings, Preston Parker, Clarence Parker, Stanley Parker, Herman Parker, Rayford Parker, Joseph Parker, Gurthrie Parker, Willene Dearman, and Rachel Thrash; two grandsons, Tanner Johnson Parker and Samuel Cade Parker.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-eight years, Sue Clark Parker of Seminary; one daughter, Susan Parker Coulter of Seminary; two sons, Billy Parker, and his wife, Lee Ann and Joe Parker, and his wife, Jill, all of Seminary; thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, P.O. Box 1525, Ranson, WV. 25438.
