Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 8, 2021 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Wilma Louise Roberts Chain, 92 of Collins, who passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021 at the Covington County Hospital in Collins.
Reverend James Walters and Reverend Billy Bridges will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Lone Star Cemetery in Collins. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.
Pallbearers will be Douglas Polk, Steve Polk, Danny Mullins, Mark Leonard, Mickey Broom, and Ronald Broom.
Mrs. Chain was born on September 17, 1929 in Collins, Mississippi to John Adam and Katie Bell Bridges Roberts. She was one of six children that they were blessed with. Mrs. Chain retired after numerous years of service as a cosmetologist working in Texas and Mississippi. She was a active member of the Lone Star United Methodist Church until her decline in health.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Adam and Katie Bell Bridges Roberts; her husband, Bura Larue Chain; a daughter, Glenda Louise Chain Hoerner; and four siblings, Howard Roberts, Mary Lee Roberts Polk, Johnny Merle Roberts Walker, and Henry "PeeWee" Roberts.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, John and Manilyn Chain of Collins; a son-in-law, Edward J. Hoerner of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Bradley D. Clark, Crislyn Morada, and Ashly Potot; one sister, Dixie Roberts Griffith of Collins; and a host of nieces and nephews.
