W.N. "Buck" Dearman

(May 13, 1945 – February 15, 2024)

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 23, 2024, at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for W.N. "Buck" Dearman, 78 of Collins, who passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at his residence in Collins, MS.

Reverend West Garner and Brian Brister will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Collins City Cemetery in Collins.  Special music will be provided by Brian Brister and Becky White.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3202 Hwy 49, Collins, Mississippi.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Dearman, Jimmy Dearman, Kermit "Tody" Dement Jr., Christen Dement, Stephen Dement, Jimmie "Doe-Doe" Dement Jr., and Jeremy Smith.

Buck, the name that friends and family called him, was married to the love of his life, Dorothy, for almost sixty years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. He worked as a carpenter most of his working years and enjoyed hunting and working in his yard. Buck will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Travis Dearman and Susie Hart Dearman; one brother, Earl Dearman.

Survivors include his wife of almost sixty-years, Dorothy Dement Dearman of Collins; two daughters, Lisa Dearman Shows (Maurice) of Collins and Rena Dearman McCardle (Chris) of Seminary; one brother, Travis Ray Dearman of Collins;  one sister, Diane Kirkland (Mike) of Collins; two grandsons, Austin Banks (Rachel) of Purvis and Adam Banks (Brelyn) of Moselle;  one granddaughter, Amber Black (Brandon) of Collins;  one great grandson, Bentley Black;  one great granddaughter, Ada Mae Banks; and a host of nieces and nephews.
